In Milwaukee, there are about as many races as they are running trails – that is to say, a lot! Here, we’ll highlight upcoming events that are well worth the miles.
Ethan’s Run Against Addiction
When: Saturday, June 9 @8:30am
Where: Konkel Park, Greenfield
Details: Join in for the first Ethan’s Run Against Addiction 5k. Ethan Monson-Dupuis died at age 25 from an accidental heroin overdose in 2016. Help raise awareness that addiction is a brain disease, not a character flaw or lack of will power. All proceeds go to The Ethan Monson-Dupuis Opiate Recovery Fund through Aurora Health Care.
HartFest Half Marathon
When: Saturday, June 23, 8:30am
Where: Hart Park, Wauwatosa
Cost: $55 for Strider members; $65 for non-Striders
Details: This race winds through the Hart Park and Wauwatosa area. Participants receive a finisher’s medal and tech shirt. After the race, participants can enjoy live music, food and beer.
